Here and Back Again   Leave a comment

Dear Family and Friends,

It has been a while since you have heard from Micah and I.  We were enjoying a break from the busy schedule of town & village Ambassador Institute classes, working at the land, and other responsibilities.  The highlight of my break came when my family and Janna arrived on December 26th.  The following 12 days until their departure were my “12 days of Christmas.”  They were some of the most blessed days I have ever experienced.

Here are just some photos from their time here:

Micah and I are getting ready for a transition during our time here in Uganda.  Coming this February, we will be moving into an apartment in an old, run down mansion.  The place is looking pretty shabby right now..but we’re in the process of fixing it up (will post pictures of the place soon).  More than just moving for the purpose of our own growth during our time here in Uganda, Micah and I are moving to this building because the spiritual condition of most of the tenants is similar to the current condition of the building – broken, in disrepair, and dark.  Micah and I are praying that God would use us there to bring His light and to be His fragrance.  We are praying for meaningful opportunities to interact with these other tenants as we live in the same building as them.  Pray for us.

An update email is going to be sent out soon that will have more information about what is going on in our lives and how you can be praying for us.  Micah and I say “thank you” to you for the ways you support us.

To God be the glory!

Prayer needed   Leave a comment

Greetings to all the blog readers out there.

So things have been happening here in Uganda since we last updated this blog. For starters, we’ve both gone through an initiation of sorts in the form of catching malaria within a week of each other. Don’t worry though. We’re both fully recovered now.  Thank you all for your prayers.

Speaking of prayers… we’re in need of some at the moment.  In the last post we asked you to pray for the salvation of Jowali and his family.  God has really been working to reach them lately, and I’m sure that your prayers for them are being heard.

Right now their family is going through a trial of sorts though.  They have a daughter who was possessed by a demon over a week ago.  You can go to Nate’s blog to get some of the history of it.  But long story short, since she was first delivered she’s been struggling with the demon on and off again up until now.  Today she was just possessed again.  Nate and the two of us are going to leave for their home tomorrow morning with other ugandan intercessors.  You can pray that we might be instruments of deliverance to her and the others at her school who are dealing with the possessions.  But mostly pray that the girl would come to a true saving faith in Jesus Christ and so be protected from further spiritual attacks.  She needs the work of the spirit to happen in her heart.

Paul says in chapter one of Philippians that he’s sure that his deliverance from prison will come “through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ.”  We too are convinced that God will work through the prayers of His church. That’s why we’re asking you for them.  So please join with us in the battle.
